Emergency Management Group – Washington is actively recruiting for volunteers to support the following events. See our Opportunities page for a list of desired skills.
Membership in EMG-WA is an excellent way to connect with Emergency Management Group which provides volunteer emergency management support to many events each year.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF WASHINGTON
EMG-WA provides Risk Management, Consequence Response, Communications, and Operations Center support to Special Olympics of Washington State Games throughout the state of Washington.
2025 – 2026 Special Olympics Event Schedule
- Fall Regional Competitions: October 11 – November 16, 2025 – Various locations throughout Washington
- Winter Regional Competitions: January 10 – February 08, 2026 – Various locations throughout Washington
- Winter State Games: February 27 – March 01, 2026 – Wenatchee, Washington
- Spring Regional Competitions: April 18 – May 10, 2026 – Various locations throughout Washington
- Spring State Games: May 29 – May 31, 2026 – Tacoma, Washington
- Summer Regional Competitions: August 08 – August 16, 2026
Volunteer signups are available 60-90 days prior to event.

- Seafair Summer Fourth – July 4th, 2026 – Gas Works & Lake Union Park
- Seafair Triathlon – July 19, 2026 – Seward Park
- Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade – July 25, 2026 – Seattle Waterfront
- Seafair Festival – (Boeing Airshow and Hydroplane Races) July 29 – August 2, 2026
featuring the Boeing Seafair Air Show and Hydroplane races.
